The Asylum Seekers and Refugees Solidarity Association (ARSA) offers handicraft courses that provide a creative platform for refugees, asylum seekers, and other vulnerable individuals to develop and enhance their artistic skills. These courses introduce participants to traditional and contemporary crafts, allowing them to gain practical experience in areas such as sewing and embroidery, carpet weaving, resin design, plush toy making, knitting, paper flower design, and even tomato paste production.

Handicraft courses do more than teach technical or artistic skills—they also foster a sense of community, cooperation, and social interaction. Participants have the opportunity to express their creativity, build confidence, and strengthen cultural and social connections within the community.

These programs are conducted with the support of ARSA volunteers and professionals, creating a safe, supportive, and motivating environment where individuals can actively engage in learning, improve their skills, and explore new personal and social opportunities. In this way, handicrafts become a tool for empowerment, enriching the daily lives of vulnerable individuals while strengthening social cohesion within the host community.
