The Turkish Refugee Council (TMK) brings together more than 20 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) working across Turkey to advocate for better policies and programs for refugees and their host communities.

Afghan Refugees Solidarity and Assistance Association is one of the founding members of the Turkish Refugee Council (TMK). TMK was established in 2016 by a group of NGOs who felt there was a need to strengthen cooperation and solidarity between national NGOs and refugee-led organizations. He is also the Vice Chairman of the TMK Board of Directors, Co-Chair of the TMK Access to Service Working Group and a Member of the Governance Committee.

Advocating better policies and programs for refugees and their host communities; The 2nd Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Turkish Refugee Council (TMK), which brings together more than 20 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) working all over Turkey, was held in Ankara on August 26, 2021.

After the election of the Board of Directors, at the General Assembly, where the Annual Report and the Audit Board Report, as well as the Standard Operations Document were approved, elections were held for the full and alternate members of the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board.

According to the election results, the new members of TMK's Board of Directors and Supervisory Board consisted of the following organizations:

During the General Assembly Meeting, the newly elected Board of Directors came together on September 9, 2021 to determine the distribution of duties among themselves.

According to the decisions taken unanimously at this meeting, the task distribution of the new board of directors of TMK has been determined as follows.

TMK Chairman of the Board: Asylum and Migration Research Center Association (IGAM)

TMK Deputy Chairman of the Board: Afghan Refugees Solidarity and Aid Association (ARSA)

Treasurer: Foundation for the Advancement of Women's Work (KEDV)

YK Main member: Support to Life – Humanitarian Aid Association (STL)

YK Main member: International Blue Crescent Humanitarian Relief and Development Foundation (IBC)
