We participated in the International Migrants Day event organized by the Kayseri Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.
Every year, on 18 December, the United Nations, through the UN's International Organization for Migration (IOM), celebrates the International Day of Migrants and the challenges they face to highlight the contributions made by approximately 272 million migrants, including 41 million internally displaced persons.
Ahmet Danışman, Director of Kayseri Provincial Migration Management, stated the following in his opening speech: “We are looking for the better. We are in search of how we can provide a healthier and more transparent service to migrants. There is an expression in Turkish Sufism: 'Not everyone who seeks can find it, but those who find are those who seek.' We will continue to search with enthusiasm. I would like to thank the non-governmental organizations, our university, students and you, our guests, who contributed to this event.” Students from many countries performed dance shows and song recitals at the event, which was organized to accelerate the integration processes of immigrants living in Kayseri and to celebrate the Immigrants Day.
After the performances and concerts, the event came to an end.
