The Asylum Seekers and Refugees Solidarity Association (ARSA) took part in the Child Safeguarding Standards Training organized by Terre des Hommes (TDH) in Ankara between 23–25 September 2025. ARSA was represented at the training by MEAL & Capacity Building Officer Meltem Demirel , CFS & Activity Officer Zahide Öner Akpınar, and Psychologist Beyza Aytemur.
The three-day program addressed key topics including the concept of child safeguarding, risk analysis and mitigation methods, reporting and response mechanisms, organizational roles and responsibilities, as well as strengthening child participation. Participating organizations also conducted self-assessments and developed action plans to improve their child protection policies.
ARSA was highlighted as a good practice example for its effective implementation of child safeguarding and child participation activities in the field. Trainers emphasized that ARSA’s approach serves as an inspiration to other organizations.
