The Asylum seekers and Refugees Solidarity Association (ARSA) took part in the workshop titled “The Role and Impact of Persons under International and Temporary Protection in Türkiye’s Labor Market”, held under the auspices of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM) in Isparta. The event gathered representatives from public institutions, universities, civil society organizations, and numerous experts from different sectors.

ARSA was represented by Legal Advisor Av. Fatma Doğru, and the workshop was attended by high-level participants including the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Security, representatives from the Ministry of Interior, the Rector and Vice Rectors of Süleyman Demirel University, faculty deans, academics, the Governor of Isparta, the Mayor, Members of Parliament, and various civil society stakeholders.

The first part of the program featured expert panels discussing the impact of individuals under international and temporary protection on Türkiye’s labor market. This was followed by focus group discussions involving sector representatives, NGOs, and key stakeholders in the labor field. These sessions addressed critical structural challenges, particularly concerning work permits, travel permits, and identity documentation processes.

The workshop concluded with a final session evaluating the recommendations developed in each group. It was emphasized that these findings would be shared with relevant public institutions and could contribute significantly to shaping future migration policies in Türkiye.

By participating in the event, ARSA shared its field experiences and legal insights, highlighting the challenges disadvantaged groups face in accessing the labor market.
