On February 6th, a seismic event struck eleven provinces in southeastern Turkey, resulting in severe consequences with over 50,000 fatalities and more than a hundred thousand injuries. Among the affected were hundreds of migrant families residing in these 11 provinces, with hundreds reported casualties within the refugee and migrant community.

Over the past year, ARSAS Association has undertaken the following activities to provide assistance to the earthquake-affected population:

  • Extended services to 9,577 individuals affected by the earthquake in the past eleven months.
  • 1,412 families have availed themselves of these services.
  • Distributed 700 cash cards to 350 earthquake-affected families.
  • Covered the rent for 1,062 families in need. (A total of 2,124 months of rent has been paid)
  • Initiated the second round of house rent payments for affected individuals, which will continue for the next two months.
  • 2,006 cases management of affected individuals in the past eleven months.
  • Conducted various campaigns, including blood donation drives, winter clothing collection drives, food distribution, and cash assistance, with hundreds of participants contributing their aid.
  • ARSA Association has expanded its services to earthquake-affected individuals in 52 provinces in Turkey, offering them humanitarian and livelihood support.
  • Conducted physical visits to the cities of Antakya, Kahramanmaraş, and Malatya for the distribution of cash assistance cards and assessment of the situation on the ground.
