An awareness session on the health and psychosocial impacts of child, early and forced marriages was held for healthcare workers at the Kayseri Migrant Health Center. The opening remarks were delivered by ARSA President Dr. Zakira Hekmat and the Center’s Director, Faruk Yavuz Temur.
The session continued with expert presentations by Prof. Dr. Elçin Balcı and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Derya Evgin, who contribute to ARSA’s CEFM project as specialists. Prof. Dr. Elçin Balcı focused on the health impacts of child, early and forced marriages, preventive health services, and implementation processes. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Derya Evgin addressed the psychosocial effects on individuals, with particular emphasis on cases encountered by healthcare workers serving migrant communities.
The event enabled interactive discussions, allowing participants to ask questions and exchange experiences in a productive learning environment. The program concluded with participant feedback and expressions of appreciation.
