An important event was held this week as part of the "Safe Tomorrows" project, which aims to combat gender-based and domestic violence faced by Afghan women in Turkey.

The project is implemented under the Mikrofonu program supported by the American Councils. During the session with members of the Gülçemen Women’s Rights Committee, awareness-raising information was shared on gender-based violence (GBV). Participants were also informed in detail about available support mechanisms, legal pathways, and service providers for survivors of violence.

The interactive session enabled participants to actively engage, providing Afghan women with vital information and guidance on their rights and how to access the appropriate support when needed. This event marked an important step toward both knowledge sharing and strengthening solidarity within the community.
