As part of the Pathways to Protection (P2P) Project, funded by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ARSA hosted a three-day P2P Diaspora Workshop from 22–24 June 2026. The workshop aimed to strengthen access to safe, accurate, and rights-based information for people on the move by enhancing the delivery of reliable information on rights, available services, legal procedures, and everyday needs.

Throughout the workshop, participants took part in presentations, practical group exercises, and reflection sessions focused on planning and developing protection information campaigns. ARSA also presented the findings of its needs assessment study, enabling participants to jointly analyze the key barriers to accessing information and identify priority information needs based on the research findings.

The following sessions focused on target audience analysis, identifying trusted communication channels, developing protection messages in line with ethical principles and minimum standards, and strengthening Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) processes. Through presentations, group work, and collaborative discussions, participants designed practical protection information campaign strategies tailored to different target groups.

On the final day, discussions covered service mapping, referral mechanisms, pre-testing of campaign messages, visibility principles, and approaches for campaign implementation and monitoring. At the conclusion of the three-day workshop, the ARSA team presented draft protection information campaigns, which were further refined through participant feedback. The next implementation steps and project action plan were also jointly agreed upon.

The workshop concluded with significant outcomes that will contribute to strengthening community-based protection, improving access to reliable information, and developing rights-based solutions to address the information needs of people on the move.
