The Asylum Seekers and Refugees Solidarity Association (ARSA) offers chess courses at its office for refugees, asylum seekers, and other vulnerable individuals. Chess is a powerful tool for enhancing mental skills, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Our courses are designed to provide participants with both an enjoyable experience and opportunities to strengthen these critical skills. The program accommodates a wide range of participants, from beginners who want to learn the basic principles of chess to advanced players seeking to refine their strategic thinking.

The courses cover fundamental rules, opening strategies, tactical maneuvers, and endgame techniques. Instruction is delivered in an interactive and engaging manner, with individual attention and guidance provided to each participant to help them improve their skills. Additionally, tournaments and special events are organized to encourage healthy competition and foster social connections among participants.

Chess goes beyond being an enjoyable game; it equips participants with essential life skills such as strategic thinking, patience, focus, and logical decision-making. ARSA’s chess courses are conducted with the support of volunteers and professional staff, creating a safe and supportive environment that both entertains and empowers participants, helping them develop their mental and social abilities.
