The National Reference Group, consisting of panellists from UNHCR, GIZ, Mavi Kalem Derneği, and Afgan Mülteciler Yardımlaşma ve Dayanışma Derneği, has released the Progress Report on Localization in Turkey.
The aim of the panel was to highlight the strong interest of the humanitarian community in Turkey in sustaining dialogue on localization and to establish a National Reference Group (URG) for Turkey through collaboration between YSG, TMK, UNDP, and UNHCR.
The panel, which consisted of four sessions, discussed the current state of localization in Turkey, provided information on the purpose, structure, and members of the URG, and addressed topics such as action planning for the URG (Coordination, Partnerships, Financing, and Capacity).
The report also presented future work, current situations, and objectives.
In addition, ARSA participated in localization and advocacy meetings and received an invitation to the Grand Bargain Localization and Advocacy Global Meeting held in June in Geneva, Belgium, and Berlin.
